Charts created in version 1.5.2 can only be opened in version 1.5.2 and newer.
Major Updates
- Audio/Video Improvements
- Add bar indicating audio intensity everywhere audio is recorded or played back
- Reenable the Masseter Audio Bridge that connects Examiner headset to Masseter Subject headset. It had been removed in version 1.4.1.
- Add ability for audio files to be recorded directly into a question
- Allow text-to-speech to play through multiple user-specified speakers simultaneously
- Improve support for using multiple cameras
- Overhaul of Audio/Video code

- Change default Report file format from .rtf to .docx
- Allow .doc format files to appear in the Report Template list
- Implement Spell Checker for Reports; requires enabling in Settings -> System -> Enable spellcheck
- Change default font for Reports to “Segoe UI”
- Prevent user from including spaces in “Report Field” for items in Personal History and Series templates; the item won’t appear correctly as a merge item when spaces are present
- Close the “Select Merge Fields” window when report editor is closed
- Update many behind-the-scenes packages
Minor Updates
- Prompt if user attempts to close recording application while recording is in progress
- The Start and Stop values for Cardio Cuff Pressure are now based on the first and last questions asked instead of when the chart was started and ended. This now matches LXSoftware
- Update the appearance of the installer
- Use the new Lafayette Instrument logo as the icon for LXEdge
- Incorporate Spanish translations for many existing and newly added strings
- Add display of Firmware Version to the device settings
- When combining charts, account for differences in the sensor gains among charts. Previously the gain for the first chart was applied to all the charts.
- Show a more informative message when navigating in earlier version of LXEdge to a chart that had been modified in version 1.5
Bug Fixes
- Resolve issue that playback of recorded audio could be much quieter than playback of recorded audio
- Resolve issue that Audio/Video record button would not be enabled under certain circumstances
- Resolve issue that question sets heavy in multimedia would cause extreme slowness
- Resolve issue that would cause restart of LXEdge to be required for text-to-speech to work under when swapping headphones
- Resolve issue that “Charts” tab” would be selected instead of “Templates” tab when Report is opened for editing
- Resolve issue that “ESSResult” and “ESSInterpretationSummary” fields would not populate in default Report template
- Resolve issue that some Audio/Video settings were reset to default when upgrading LXEdge
- Resolve issue that biostatistics at bottom of chart could update inconsistently
- Resolve some possible causes of PF (.lxw file) corruption. Corruption could cause duplicate and missing chart numbers and message about potential tampering.
- Resolve issue that the options for Default Scorer could be inconsistent with the setting for Number of Reviewers
- When adding a media file to a question, the message “Failed to copy the media file” would appear when not appropriate.
- Hotkey settings would be duplicated when going back and forth between the Chart Recording settings and other settings tabs
- The “Folder” and “Name” fields in the “Question Set Template Save As” dialog were cut off when display was set to low resolution

Major Updates
- Add to PF Tools the ability to rename PFs
- Implemented token that prevents PF corruption when more than one user accesses a PF at the same time. This is generally not recommended, but is necessary in rare setups.
- Second user (User 2) is notified when opening PF that is opened on another computer
- User 2 is prevented from adding charts or series or running charts
- User 2 is able to score and add notes
- User 2 is prevented from navigating to chart currently being recorded
- User 2 can use Refresh menu item to refresh available charts, etc.
- Token is removed when first user closes the PF
Minor Updates
- Move round buttons away from the upper right corner inside the chart to avoid covering up most recent data during chart recording
- Add button at top of chart to easily toggle the MRL and ROW lines on and off
- When printing, add dropdown to specify whether charts should be printed “As Recorded” or as modified by “Examiner” or “Reviewer”
Bug Fixes
- Resolve issue that traces could be cut off at bottom of chart printouts
- Resolve issue that charts created through import of NCCA files without PPG data would fail to open.
- Resolve issue that when modifying the LXEdge Directory setting, the “Logs” folder and log files would not be created until LXEdge was restarted.
- Resolve issue that RLE Tool would only display 0’s with white dots for Paragon and ParagonX hardware

Major Updates
- Implement updated feature extraction for OSS-3 scoring.
- Allow review of chart “As Recorded” or as dressed up by “Examiner” or “Reviewer”. User can toggle among the various profiles.
- Significant changes to settings. Most notably, the “Chart” settings tab has been reorganized into “Chart Recording” and “Chart Appearance” tabs.
- Significant behind-the-scenes improvements related to settings.
Minor Updates
- Changes related to windows used to record or review video associated with chart:
- Make smaller by default, with ability to resize
- Always keep in front
- Allow window used to review media outside a chart to be resized
- Make thinner the lines used to indicate response and beginning and end of response onset window.
- Added white as an option to primary color picker.
- Remove the “More” button from the color picker.
- Add “Custom” question set type that should be used when none of the available question set types are appropriate. Replace “None” question set type with indication that user should select a valid question set type.
- Refine the appearance of the question label that appears inside chart by removing the box and increasing the range of the Question Label Font Size setting.
- Move setting to shrink chart to fit on a single page when printing to the System settings tab. Removed the Print setting tab.
- Added the ability to modify hotkeys related to running a chart to the Chart Recording tab.
- Modify implementation of “Very Low” audio setting so that post-conversion is no longer needed. This allows the LXEdge installer and footprint to be significantly smaller.
- Allow import of some older NCCA export files with non-numeric exam or chart numbers.
- Modify so simulator only creates data when needed behind the scenes. Slightly improves software performance.
Bug Fixes
- Navigating away from a chart while a note with unsaved changes was open would cause all sensor data to be lost for the chart.
- Charts would fail to load when .lxw file is corrupted in a certain way (missing File Reference).
- Two cameras of the same make and model could not be used at the same time.
- Import would fail for NCCA files with extremely low data rates.
- Software would crash when attempting to NCCA export a chart that had been created using NCCA import.
- Traces would not appear in imported charts for completely flatlined data in NCCA files.
- Charts with rare unusual traces would cause OSS-3 scoring to fail.
- Response Onset Window line widths would change with zoom level.
- Data rate was incorrect in NCCA export of charts created using Simulator.
- NCCA import would fail for files with unexpected label for Sample Rate.
- Memory usage by LXEdge would increase substantially over time while running and/or reviewing charts; this usage has been reduced significantly. Issues associated with the high memory usage included:
- Short segments of dropped data in charts
- Decreasingly responsive software performance, to the point the software was unusable
- LXEdge would crash when attempting to open a report that contains merge fields not found in the associated Personal History or Series information.
- In rare cases, failure of audio/video recording would result in empty recording files, even though recordings appeared to be working as expected.
- In rare cases, PF could be corrupted when a recording split occurred while recording audio in “Very Low” mode.
